The Yacka Institute

The focal point of the town, and its best-known tourist attraction, is the Yacka Hall, originally built as the Institute Hall.  This handsome sandstone building, with its generous proportions and distinctive corrugated iron spire, has drawn many photographers and artists over the years.

The Hall is now a popular regional conference centre, fully equipped with audio-visual facilities and kitchen. The Hall’s Supper Room  is also available for separate hire. Ring the Secretary, Yacka Hall Committee on (08) 88464018 for advance bookings for the Hall and/or Supper Room.

The Hall is complemented by the Yacka War Memorial, and adjoining gardens, all established and maintained by local volunteer effort.
